Same-day lending at scale
Angle Finance selected Camunda as its automation foundation and Innovo as its embedded managed-service partner, turning a fragmented, acquired lending estate into one governed, orchestrated process — with priority credit decisions returned in two hours and automation delivered as an enterprise capability, not a series of projects.

Client and industry context
Angle Finance is an Australian commercial asset finance company serving businesses and the brokers who represent them. Formed through two acquisitions, it is now one of Australia's leading non-bank asset finance companies, competing against more than 50 other lenders where speed and consistency win deals and earn broker loyalty — acutely so at the end of the financial year, when demand spikes and slower lenders are forced to stop taking applications.
As a non-bank lender, Angle operates under strict assurance, risk and compliance obligations. Every automated decision must be controlled, explainable and auditable — a requirement that only tightens as AI enters production.
The challenge
Growth by acquisition had left Angle with a fragmented estate: duplicated systems, ageing technology and modern cloud tools running side by side, with much of the critical process knowledge held in people's experience rather than documented anywhere.
- A patchwork of duplicated, ageing systems, with no single controlled end-to-end lending process.
- Priority finance requests that could take days to decide, forcing the business to stop taking applications ahead of year-end — precisely when demand peaked.
- Bespoke asset-finance processes with few off-the-shelf packages, and no fast way to prove value before committing to build.
- Manual effort scattered across the business, with limited insight into how processes actually ran.
- Faster decisions that were worthless if they cost auditability and explainability — control could not be traded for speed.
Innovo's role
Angle selected Camunda as its automation foundation and Innovo as its embedded managed-service partner to turn that strategy into repeatable delivery. Business process ownership stayed with Angle; Innovo worked across Angle's business and technology teams to translate priorities into well-designed, governed and supported automation across the full lifecycle — from opportunity identification and process improvement, through prioritisation and rapid prototyping, to production delivery and ongoing support.
This gave Angle a single partner accountable for outcomes across the entire lifecycle, rather than a hand-off between strategy, build and run.
The solution delivered
Camunda and Innovo connected Angle's old and new systems into one controlled end-to-end lending process — orchestrating across stable but inflexible systems of record rather than funding a wholesale replacement. Value was proven under near-production conditions with real data before each release, and more than 220 live processes were delivered incrementally, supported through a governed delivery model with real-time visibility and complete audit trails.
Capabilities involved
- Process orchestration across a heterogeneous estate — Camunda coordinating legacy systems of record, modern cloud services and human decision points as a single governed process.
- Automated, explainable credit decisioning — complex, high-value commercial lending decisions executed within a controlled process, with every decision traceable to meet non-bank lender assurance requirements.
- Real-time process monitoring — live visibility into every running process, replacing largely invisible manual work.
- Rapid prototyping under near-production conditions — value proven with real data before build commitment.
- Reusable delivery assets and a standardised delivery model — the mechanism behind the 60%+ lift in delivery capacity.
- An operating model designed so AI can be introduced into lending decisions while preserving transparency and auditability.

Camunda's platform, combined with Innovo's managed-service delivery, has given us a new benchmark for technology ROI: projects that may once have taken months and cost millions can now be done in a fraction of the time and cost, in many cases to a higher standard of quality, reliability and auditability.
Angle's achievement shows that agentic transformation does not start with an agent. It starts with business strategy: identifying the right opportunities, redesigning the processes behind them, and building the governance, data and orchestration needed to take them safely into production. Innovo worked with Angle across that entire lifecycle, with Camunda as the orchestration foundation, to create a dependable enterprise capability that has reduced manual effort by more than 80 percent and increased delivery capacity by over 60 percent. That capability now gives Angle a clear, controlled path from automation to agentic workflows.
