One shared engine, individual bank evidence.

Twenty-one Australian customer-owned banks, mutuals and credit unions faced the same Open Banking conformance obligation, individually and non-delegably, on a deadline they had already missed once.

The challenge.

Small teams

Smaller banks faced demanding Open Banking testing requirements with limited technology teams.

Missed deadline

The Phase 1 deadline had been missed, leaving roughly four months to reach compliance.

Hard testing

Conformance spans security profiles, client registration, consent flows, API contracts and negative paths, and had to be repeatable.

What we built.

1

Build the shared engine

Innovo funded and built a shared conformance solution in UiPath and automated the published regulatory test scenarios.

2

Adapt to each bank

Execution was adapted to each bank's configuration, against its own environment and test data.

3

Produce individual evidence

Specialist teams ran the tests and produced evidence for each bank's individual submission.

4

Reuse as standards change

A repeatable testing capability the banks could reuse as systems and requirements changed.

Regulation held as configuration.

The hard part was not the first bank; it was the twentieth.

Regulation-as-configuration architecture

CDR definitions held as configuration, not code, so the platform tracked regulatory change centrally instead of requiring 21 parallel rebuilds.

Multi-tenant isolation on AWS

AWS Control Tower keeping 21 competing institutions' environments and evidence properly separated on shared infrastructure.

270 mandatory scenarios

189 in Phase 1, 81 in Phase 2, with per-participant readiness packs delivered in registry-required formats.
